Buckley Community Living & Real Estate Information

Located along Route 410, some 40 miles southeast of Seattle, this cozy town of approximately 4,400 residents provides an environment that offers the amenities of a big city with a small town feel. Real estate options consist of single-family homes, condominiums and townhouses as well as land lots. Here in Buckley, residents benefit from their proximity to natural phenomena such as the Puget Sound as well as practical amenities like fine hospitals, excellent schools and a sophisticated transportation network. Buckley is situated on a plateau that is shadowed by Mt. Rainier, which stands at 14,410 feet. The surrounding foothills are filled with winding pathways and hiking and biking trails that make this area an outdoor recreational playground. The area is also filled with a variety of campsites that make great starting points for fishing and hunting trips. Buckley offers activities for people of all ages and has senior citizens programs that are just as elaborate as those for the city’s youths. Attractions in this part of the state include the many parks in nearby Bonney Lake, the Children’s Museum of Tacoma, Nolte State Park at Deep Lake, Mud Mountain Dam & Park and Northwest Trek, which is a 615 acre wildlife park that showcases more than 200 animals native to the Pacific Northwest. Buckley boasts a very active social calendar as well. Some major city sponsored events include the Buckley Log Show, Street Fair & Parade in June and the Buckley Fall Festival Street Fair in October.
